EXCURSIONS
Alaskan Wildlife
You won’t see lions, tigers and bears, but if planned strategically, you could see Alaska’s brown bears, mountain goats, sea lions, sea otters, salmon and whales. Starting in spring bird lovers can swoop in for birdwatching. In the summer time there’s a better chance of seeing brown bears and salmon.

White Pass and Yukon Route Railway
In Skagway, Alaska board the White Pass train and travel up mountain tops to the Yukon territory in Canada. On a clear day, the views of the snowcapped mountains, rivers and wildlife are stunning. This railway was initially built for gold miners of the late 1890s. Unfortunately, the gold ran out before the railway’s completion.
Lumberjack Show
The Great American Lumberjack Show is a must see event, even on a rainy day. In Ketchikan average annual rain fall is 140 to 160 inches per year. So pack an umbrella, raincoat and waterproof shoes.
